Pasted on the inside front cover of sponsored
books exits a book plate naming both the
recipient and the sponsor.  Anyone who flips a
sponsored book open will see how our community
came forward to support the arts and spread hope
and healing for the mental ill.

The message of hope and healing in the book "Unraveling My
Purple Sweater" is an important one to share with everyone
touched by mental illness.  However, there are many individuals
and organizations without the resources to purchase it.  This
program was recently begun in response to this identified need.
The goal is to make this book available to everyone, irregardless
of socio-economic status, age and/or state of emotional health.
Perhaps you remember a time in your life when someone's kind
generosity gave you the inspiration and encouragement that made
all the difference for you.  This program allows you to now be on
the giving end of this chain of hope.  As a sponsor, you will support
the fight against stigma while also directly helping someone
affected by mental illness.  If you have the resources, please
consider sponsoring a book for scholarship.  And if you are not
able to make a contribution at this time for whatever reason,
please consider passing this idea to someone else who could.
The Art Book Scholarship Program
"Art has the ability to cross over cultural and socio-economic lines to create a bridge uniting many diverse
audiences while also providing a vehicle to raise awareness and promote conversation."
