Passageways
A passageway may be a well-worn path or a welcoming doorway. It may lead to new adventure or be an integral part of a spiritual journey. A passageway may bring joy and laughter, tears and sadness, awareness and enlightenment, but, more often than not, never exactly what we expect. Yet, we are bound to open the door, take the first step, and turn the corner to expierence what there is to be found along the way.

my mind is an insane asylum
dark desires in torment struggle with chains of right and wrong
abject lunacies hurl themselves against padded cells of reason
and sometimes i think i think quite rational And i revel in that craziness in a world where lunacy and darkness seem to prevail

Communication is a wonderful tool. However, in an age when most people prefer an exchange confined to superficial concerns, usually money, power and politics its full potential is undermined. In this manner we live in the darkness of our undetected fears fueled by experiences we draw to ourselves that only compound our feelings of inadequacy. Such thoughts usually come to us early in our child hood. To understand that this is not true, that we are all equal and unconditionally loved is the journey we must take if we are searching for our

happiness. When we work to move beyond this kind of thinking admitting our supposed failings in hopes of shedding their weight we are often judged and we again find ourselves in darkness. How did this thought process gain such power and the consequences of it in our lives? Many times I have searched to understand this by journaling my history as I recall it., so many memories faded by the relentless struggle to survive. Always I have been quick to relate the amusing details, the adventures, unique opportunities, the loves and losses. The ones to which people respond, what an amazing life. however is that I have lived another life as well, a secret one, imprisoned by the shame of it. Now recognizing it as the bigger part of my existence it is time to include it in my history for without its details my life would be only a dream which is only for the sleeping. I prefer now to be fully awake embracing it all as the lesson I am here to learn, hoping a picture will immerge from out of the shadow, a portrait that will be seen as beautiful, for all our lives are art, the creative hand of a master. ...
